SRI SARADA DEVI VIDYA KENDRA
INFOSYS FOUNDATION GIRLS BLOCK

The Inauguration of the Girls Block of Sri Sarada Devi Vidya Kendra, sponsored by Infosys Foundation, took place on 12 December 2021, by Smt Sudha Murty, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation. Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission graced the occasion. Smt Sudha Murty, in a video message, stressed the importance of the education of the girl child in today’s society. Swami Gautamanandaji narrated how the Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi, emphasized the significance of the education of the girl child nearly 125 years ago. Swami Nityasthanandaji, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Bengaluru also spoke. Swami Vishnumayanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli, narrated how the grace of the Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi, played a key role in making this project possible.
 
Held in the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, the programme was attended only by a limited number of sadhus and devotees.
